FOUNDER

Lynx, originally from Québec, Canada, has been designing and building sustainable structures around the world for decades. With the help of his team, he oversees all construction at the shipyard and operations of AstilleroVerde. Speaking fluent French, English, and Spanish, Lynx is the guiding light for our most environmental and social decision-making.

John Porras

FOUNDER & PRESIDENT

John Porras is from Costa Rica. As vice president of AstilleroVerde and a board member of Ceiba S.A., John acts as an official legal and business adviser. His knowledge of the inside workings of Costa Rican bureaucracy is intensely valuable to the team, resulting in effective and strategic decision-making abilities.

Geraldine Vindas

SECRETARY & ACCOUNTANT

Gera has been part of our board of directors since early 2018 and as an accounting professional has provided valuable insight on how to improve our systems. She is the person behind most of AstilleroVerde’s administration work.


ALEXANDER GONZÁLEZ

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Alexander leads the AstilleroVerde team by executing fundraising strategies and ensuring all day-to-day tasks are directed to accomplish the vision. He comes with more than 10 years of experience working in conservation and sustainable development.

Fabricio Camacho

AGROFORESTRY ADVISOR

Academic Programs Director at the Tropical Science Center, and a faculty at Agroforestry in Agroforestry at the National Technical University, Costa Rica, Fabricio provides consultation and planning for TreesForSeas. He has substantial experience with agroforestry systems, drawing from indigenous practices.

Lucas Ramirez

TREE NURSERY MANAGER

A master in seed collection, germination, and tree identification, Lucas joins our team from San Luis, Monteverde, where he has worked as a garden manager for the University of Georgia-Costa Rica. He is in charge of managing the tree nursery where we grow all the native trees for TreesForSeas planting campaigns.
