Putting courses on hold for the time being has allowed us the time and space to focus on our tree planting efforts. With the rainy season now in sight, preparations are underway and we plan to start planting on June 6th. From earth to ocean, Shani gives us an insight into the thoughts behind moving towards provisioning regeneratively. As rains will soon allow the shipyard to embody its name once more, the ideas that support self-sufficiency and true sustainability, from growing more food onsite to sourcing package-free, ethically-produced grains, are gradually evolving in the visual introduction to this project.

Desde la tierra hasta el océano, Shani nos da una idea de los pensamientos detrás de avanzar hacia el aprovisionamiento regenerativo. Como las lluvias pronto permitirán que el astillero encarne su nombre una vez más, las ideas que apoyan la autosuficiencia y la verdadera sostenibilidad, desde el cultivo de más alimentos en el lugar hasta el abastecimiento de granos producidos éticamente y sin empaque, están evolucionando gradualmente en la introducción visual de este proyecto.

Mariel tells us about her experience of participating and organizing as part of the AstilleroVerde team, the artisan blacksmith workshop, which has been offered to the community and held in our education center.

The weather is not the only thing heating up here in the jungle, English classes are as well! We have launched an English course that is free to the community and has already attracted many students. It is exciting to finally offer this course to such an eager community.

¡El clima no es lo único que golpea aquí en el trópico, las clases de inglés lo hacen también! Nosotros empezamos a ofrecer un curso de inglés gratuito a la comunidad y ya ha atraído a muchas personas, es muy emocionante poder finalmente brindar este servicio a una comunidad tan hermosa.
